Over 1000 swimmers from 100 countries will participate, making the tournament the largest of its kind. Organizers emphasize the event's growing popularity and its role in developing Emirati swimming.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Water Sports Club, Hamid Al-Hooti, confirmed that the Abu Dhabi International Swimming 2025 continues to solidify its position as one of the leading regional and international tournaments. He pointed out that the current edition features the participation of more than 1000 swimmers from 100 nationalities, representing over 60 clubs and academies from within and outside the country.The tournament kicks off today for three days at the Mohammed bin Zayed City Sports Center, amidst wide interest from teams and swimmers, making it one of the largest editions in terms of participation size and competition strength.Al-Hooti told "Al-Ittihad" that changing the tournament's name from "Swim for Life" to "Abu Dhabi International Tournament" reflects its escalating success over three consecutive years and its transformation into a global platform that attracts top swimmers and the world's strongest swimming schools.He added that "this international momentum confirms the success of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council's strategy in supporting Emirati swimming and preparing swimmers capable of representing the country to the best of their image abroad." He also noted that "the club has produced, during the past period, distinguished models such as Hussein Shawqi, Asian champion, and swimmer Adora, which enhances the UAE's presence on the international stage."Al-Hooti confirmed that "the tournament also represents a key stop for preparing for the Masters Championship, to be held next February, and is expected to witness prominent international participation." He indicated that the club and the organizing committee have been working for a long time to ensure the tournament is held in a manner that befits Abu Dhabi's reputation and reflects the development of Emirati swimming.
